Sentence Doubled for Gymnastics Coach

A former gymnastics coach at Redmond Gymnastics Academy charged with having inappropriate relationships with two girls at the school has had his sentence behind bars doubled.  The judge in the case in Deschutes County Circuit Court yesterday handed that additional sentence down to Kellee Johnson, who has pled guilty to the crime.  Johnson has already served 29 days in the Deschutes County jail and had expected to be released at the 30 day mark based on his original sentence, but the judge disregarded his plea deal and ordered two thirty day sentences to run consecutively – doubling it to 60 days.  Johnson was 25 at the time the abuse took place – the girls were 17.
