Deschutes County Search and Rescue helped a 63-year-old snowshoer… after he didn’t return when expected. The man left his home near Sunriver around 1 p-m Monday, to snowshoe in the forest. SAR volunteers were dispatched at about 7:15. They used snowmobiles, cross country skis and an ARGO utility vehicle for 7 hours… finding him just after 2:15 a-m Tuesday, near Wake Butte. He was taken home after declining medical help.
