Triple Fatal Crash on Hwy 97

Three people from Redmond were killed in a crash on icy roads Monday night. Oregon State Police say a Dodge Durango was northbound on Highway 97 approaching the Jefferson County line when it lost control trying to pass another vehicle. The SUV spun broadside into the southbound lane where it collided with an International 749 Utility truck.  The driver, 39-year-old Jared Lewis, along with his passengers, Kristopher Frisbee, 44, and Heather Good, 40 were all pronounced dead at the scene.  The highway was closed for about 5 hours
