A Redmond man is accused of assaulting a woman and holding her against her will for more than a week. Investigators say she was able to escape, but the next day 27-year-old Bernardino Martinez, Jr. tried to grab her again… from in front of a local motel. An employee stepped in and Martinez took off before officers arrived. He was later arrested during a traffic stop and is being held without bail. He faces numerous charges, including kidnapping, strangulation and robbery.
