Cases of COVID-19 Surging in Oregon

Yesterday, Oregon Health Authority reported 18,538 new infections of COVID-19 in the state and 18 deaths, one a 63-year-old man from Crook County. These are the numbers for the three-day period between January 7-9. There were 1,337 new cases reported in Deschutes County, 73 in Crook County, and 181 in Jefferson County. 

The number of patients hospitalized with Coronavirus statewide is 692. Locally, Saint Charles has 48 COVID-19 patients; 11 are fully vaccinated. There are five patients in Intensive Care, all are on ventilators; none are fully vaccinated.
