Democrat Janelle Bynum is the projected winner of Oregon's 5th Congressional District. Pundits agree there's no viable path for Incumbent Republican Congresswoman Lori Chavez-DeRemer to win. Bynum leads Chavez-DeRemer 48 to 45 percent. The victory returns the seat to Democrats, two years after Kurt Schrader chose not to run for re-election and Chavez-DeRemer defeated Democrat Jamie McLeod Skinner, of Terrebonne.
