Redmond police responded early Tuesday to a reported burglary on the 1800 block of SW Canal Boulevard. Authorities believed the suspect; 30-year-old Tyler J. Kane of Bend, might have been inside the home. Officers searched the residence but did not find him. Out of caution, nearby schools were placed on secure status while police cleared the area. Kane faces several charges including burglary, theft, harassment related to domestic violence, coercion, and an outstanding probation violation warrant.
