Mt. Bachelor reports five inches of snow at the base yesterday (Mo) morning exciting skiers and snowboarders about the season ahead. However, the mountain remains unpatrolled for now, with public facilities still closed.

Visitors are warned to avoid maintenance areas and closed lifts.

The official Opening Day is set for Friday, November 28.

Hoodoo and Timberline received several inches in the last 24 hours also.
