28 inmates are suffering from a gastrointestinal illness.

Because of the outbreak, the Sheriff's Office called the health department and they're taking additional sanitary steps to control it.

The duration of this illness is expected to be around 72 hours.

It's not uncommmon for illnesses like this to break out in spaes where a large poulation is put together, such as nursing homes, cruise ships or airplanes.
