New upgrades are taking shape at Pine Nursery Park, with some amenities already open and more expected by early fall. Bend Parks and Rec says the work includes a new full-court basketball court, eight pickleball courts, field lighting, artificial turf infields, off-leash area improvements, and a pedestrian connection to Deschutes Market Road.

Meanwhile, another project is moving ahead at Larkspur Community Center. Julie Brown with Bend Parks and Rec says 39 parking spaces will be added, but crews will wait until after the busy indoor recreation season. The Larkspur parking expansion was approved last week, with construction planned for next spring.
