Telephone and Data Systems, Inc, parent company to TDS Telecom, is buying the company for $261 million dollars.

The company will continue to operate as Bend Broadband.

CEO Amy Tykeson met with company employees Thursday to make the announcement.  She reassured the nearly 300 workers their jobs would be secure.

Bend Broadband offers an extensive range of broadband, cable and telephone services.
