(Portland, OR)  --  The Portland Timbers are back in the playoff picture, following a 3-0 victory over San Jose at Providence Park.  Rodney Wallace scored in the first half and Diego Valeri added two more goals in the second period to make the difference.  Portland is now two points ahead of the Vancouver Whitecaps for the fifth and final postseason spot in the Western Conference, with two games left in the regular season.  The Timbers will host Real Salt Lake on October 17th.
