Hernandez Gets 2,000th Strikeout In Mariners' Win

(Seattle, WA)  --  The Seattle Mariners have the day off after completing a sweep of the Oakland A's.  Felix Hernandez became the fourth-youngest player to reach two-thousand strikeouts in helping the Mariners defeat Oakland, 4-3, in yesterday's game.  Dustin Ackley drove in two of Seattle's runs.  The M's will host a two-game series against San Diego, starting tomorrow night.
