(Portland, OR)  --  Will Johnson returned to the field to help Portland take down D.C. United 1-0 at Providence Park.  Johnson hasn't made an appearance since last September when he suffered a broken leg.  The Timbers scored early and hung on to improve to 4-5-and-4.  Gaston Fernandez turned a steal into an assist when he hooked up with Maximiliano Urruti in the fifth minute.  The Timbers visit the Colorado Rapids on Saturday.
