(Vancouver, British Columbia)  --  Abby Wambach hammered home the lone goal of the match as the U.S. Women's National Team defeated Nigeria 1-nil to finish Group D play in the Women's World Cup.  The USA had already clinched a spot in the knockout round heading into the match.  Portland Thorns stars' Alex Morgan and Tobin Heath each started their first World Cup Game.  The Americans will now travel to Edmonton Monday to face one of the four third place teams that advance to the round of 16.
