(Portland, OR)  --  Charlotte not Portland will be hosting the 2017 NBA All-Star Game.  The "Charlotte Observer" reports the Hornets' Time Warner Cable Arena won the bid to host the event.  The 2016 All-Star game is scheduled to be held in Toronto. The Trail Blazers and Hornets both previously submitted bids to host the All-Star Game in 2017 or 2018 last June.  The league is expected to officially announce Charlotte as the host city today.
