(Kansas City, MO)  --  The father of Royals starting pitcher Edinson Volquez passed away prior to last night's Game One.  Royals manager Ned Yost says Volquez wasn't told about his father's death before the game at his family's request.  Volquez tossed six innings of three-run ball in a no-decision.
