(Corvallis, OR)  --  Oregon State couldn't overcome a nine-point halftime deficit as the Beavers lost to Valparaiso, 63-57, at Gill Coliseum.  Gary Payton the Second racked up 25 points and 11 rebounds to pace OSU, which fell to 4-and-1 on the season.  The Beavers are off until a week from today, when they host Loyola Marymount.
