(Eugene, OR)  --  University of Oregon distance runner Edward Cheserek has been named a finalist for the Bowerman award for the third consecutive year.  Cheserek is the only athlete to be named a three-time finalist for the Bowerman award, which is track and field's equivalent to the Heisman Trophy.  The winner will be announced in December.
