(Portland, OR)  --  Portland Timbers winger Darren Mattocks is nearing a sooner-than-expected return from a hamstring injury.  Mattocks went down with the injury on July 10th, and was expected to miss eight-to-10 weeks.  He could be available to maybe make his return when the Timbers face CD Dragon in a CONCACAF Champions League game on August 3rd.
