On the major league Scoreboard…second extra-inning game in the last
5-games for the Seattle Mariners who ended a 4-game series with the Red Sox last night at Safeco Field. 2-2 tie thru regulation, and the Sox win it 3-2 in 11-innings.
Seattle continues the home stand tonight as they welcome the Angels to town for 3-games.
The King, Felix Hernandez, on the mound for The M’s who goes against former Washington Husky star pitcher Tim Lincecum.The M’s enter the weekend third place in the A-L West, 5-games better then the Angels who lost at home last night to the A’s, 8-6.

In the National League….The Giants salvage a sweep in Philly as
Dernard Span smacked a lead-off homer in the 10th as SF beats the Phillies, 3-2.  San Francisco moves on the nation’s capital for a 3-game series with the Nationals starting tonight.
