West Coast Collegiate League

The Corvallis Knights moved to within one win of their fourth West Coast Collegiate League championship by blanking Bellingham 4-0 Saturday night in Game 1 of the Best of Three WCL Championship Series.

The Title Series continues tonight with Game 2 in Corvallis at Oregon State’s Goss Stadium. A decisive Game 3, if necessary, would also be in Corvallis tomorrow night.

Corvallis (44-20) has now won three consecutive playoff games, and 13 of its last 14 games overall.

Bend, who was eliminated from postseason play won the WCL Crown last summer, while Bellingham won the Title in 2014 and Corvallis claimed their last League Championship in 2013.
