Week 2 of the Prep Football season takes to the grid iron tonight under the Friday Night Lights….where defending 5A State Champion Summit entertains Ashland in its home opener. The Storm and Grizzlies played in the 5A Title game last December.

Meantime, Bend entertains Corvallis in the Lava Bears season opener.
Mt. View greets Central of Independence.

Redmond travels to Silverton, and Ridgeview plays at Eagle Point.

In the 4A divison…Sisters travels to the Valley to tangle with defending 4A champion Cascade. Crook County ventures to Sweet Home, and Madras entertains Cottage Grove.

Elsewhere…LaPine plays host to the Culver Bulldogs in a 3A vs. 2A matchup.

And, in Single-A, 8-man action….Gilchrist on the road at McKenzie tonight under the lights.

In other prep sports news…On the Volleyball hardwood,
Last night, Summit, the defending 5A State Champions took on the defending 4A State Runnerup Sisters Outlaws and the Lady Outlaws take a 3-2 set win over the Storm.

And, another 4A Team takes down a 5A team as Crook County defeats Bend in straight sets, 3-zip.

Elsewhere, South Eugene sweeps Redmond 3-0.
