Only 4 local High School football teams are in the playoffs beginning tonight, and top-ranked Summit defends its 5A Championship by hosting Crater of southern Oregon in the OSAA First Round State Championships. The Storm crushed the Comets in last season’s Semifinals. Kickoff set for 7pm

Meantime…Redmond travels to 3rd rated Siliverton, and Mt. View heads south to face 5th ranked Ashland. The Sisters Outlaws are the only other local team alive, and travel to meet Estacada.

State Volleyball Tournament tips off this morning with the 5A Championships in Hillsboro at Liberty High School….Bend meets La Salle at 8am; Summit takes on Lebanon at 10am.

From Forest Grove, the site of the 4-A Tourney….2nd ranked Sisters meets Henley at 315pm. Before that, Crook County tangles with Baker.  And, Culver faces Reedsport in the 2A Tourney hosted by Ridgeview. You can follow Live results and streaming video online at O-S-A-A dot Org.

Outdoors tomorrow, it’s the State Soccer quarterfinals and a doubleheader on the west side with The Summit Storm boys hosting Corvallis at 4pm. The Lady Storm host North Eugene at 1pm.  

4-A boys playoffs, #2 Sisters entertains Brookings at 430pm, and 4th ranked Madras greets La Grande at 2pm. And…On the girls side…
Bend entertains Silverton at 2pm.
