(Portland, OR)  --  The Portland Timbers are protecting 11 players from today's MLS expansion draft.  The Timbers protected players include Jake Gleeson, Darren Mattocks, Darlington Nagbe, Liam Ridgewell and Diego Valeri.  Atlanta United and Minnesota United FC a chance to each select up to five players from the list of 259 available players.
