(Tucson, AZ)  --  Former child soccer prodigy Freddy Adu is trying to catch on with the Portland Timbers.  Adu is among the trialists with the Timbers as they open their preseason camp in Tucson, Arizona.  The 27-year-old became the youngest American to sign a major league professional contract in any sport at 14 in 2004.
