High School Sports

We start with prep basketball where Summit boys win the IMC Title beating Mt. View Friday night. The Storm host a Playoff game Friday. Tomorrow, Mt. View will greet Hillsboro and Bend travels to Sandy in ‘Play-in’ games.  The Bend girls win the IMC crown and host a State playoff Saturday. Summit greets Milwaukie, and Ridgeview travels to Wilsonville Wednesday for ‘Play-in’ games. Elsewhere…Sisters boys venture to Gladstone Friday in the 4A Playoffs.

Crook County’s 4-year run at owning the Class 4-A Wrestling Championship came to an end over the weekend in Portland as Sweet Home topped the Cowboys by one-half point to win the Title.

Roseburg wins the 6A Title, again, while Crater claims the 5A Title ending Hermiston’s 4-year run. Redmond finished a close Third place, and Mt. View 6th.

Nyssa takes the 3A trophy, and Culver with head coach JD Alley wins its 10th State Title in the last 11 seasons, including 4 individual Champions Lorenzo Vasquez, Jace Oppenlander, Jorge Olivera, and MacKyle Little.
