Bend Elks

We start with the Bend Elks where 3 Bend pitchers combined for 10 strikeouts, and every Elk but one player had a base hit on the night in which Bend pounded out 18 hits to double up Bellingham, 14-7.

It’s the second big win in a row for the Elks after the team returned home from a 6-game road trip and bombed Bellingham 10-zip last night.

Matt Kroon and Patrick Flynn homered for Bend, and former local prep stars Colin Runge, George Mendazona, and Cal Waterman combined for 6 of the 18 Bend hits in the win.

Bend finishes up the 3-game series and goes for the sweep tonight at 635pm at Vince Genna Stadium. The Elks have Thursday off and head to Walla Walla to face the Sweets on Friday night.
