The Bend Elks Westcoast collegiate summer league team resumed second-half League play last night after two days off for the W-C-L All Star Game, and the visiting Gresham Greysox outlasted Bend, 11-7.

Former local prep stars Colin Runge (run-gee) and Cal Waterman did their best to get the Elks what would have been their 7th win in the last 8-games.  Waterman hit a 2-run Home Run, and a Double, while Runge went

2-for-5 on the night fresh off playing in the All-Star classic last night in Yakima.

But, the Elks defense imploded committing 5 errors on the night leading to 3-unearned runs.

Bend is 19-and-21 overall and play the Grey Sox again tonight at Vince Genna Stadium in game-2 of the 3-game series.
