(Couva, Trinidad and Tobago)  --  The United States has been eliminated from 2018 World Cup contention.  The U.S. Men's National team lost to Trinidad and Tobago 2-1 at Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva.  The loss coupled with wins by both Honduras and Panama cost the United States a World Cup berth.  Christian Pulisic scored the lone goal in the 47th minute to pull the Americans within one but they were unable to find the equalizer.  This is the first time the United States will miss the World Cup since 1986.
