(Eugene, OR) -- First-year Oregon football coach Willie Taggart has been speculated to be a candidate for the Florida job. The Gators fired Jim McElwain on Sunday. Taggart said at his weekly media conference he has not been contacted by Florida and is committed to Oregon. Taggart is from Bradenton, Florida and coached four years at South Florida, guiding the Bulls to a 10-and-2 record in 2016 before accepting the Ducks job.
