High School basketball players are back in school and back on the court after the MLK Holiday yesterday, and tonight the top-2 teams in the IMC meet to break the early first-place tie.

The third-ranked Bend Lava Bears host 7th ranked Mt. View at 7pm. Both clubs are 2-and-0 in League, and both are 10-and-3 overall. The Cougars have a 6-game win streak heading in to the clash this evening while Bend has won 3-straight. It’s the first of three meetings between the two rivals and the Lava Bears enjoy the homeport hosting 2 of those matches.

Elsewhere…Ridgeview hosts Redmond, and Summit has the bye but will play at Mt. View Friday night.

In the 4-A ranks…Madras hosts Molalla in the Tri-Valley tipoff for both teams, and Sisters entertains Sweet Home in the Sky-Em.

La Pine looks for its first league win on the road at Pleasant Hill in the ever-tough Mountain Valley Conference. And, Gilchrist travels to Hosanna Christian in 1-A action.
