(Corvallis, OR)  --  Oregon State, which is ranked number two in the college baseball preseason polls, will open its season on Friday against New Mexico in Surprise, Arizona.  The Beavers will play their first seven games at Surprise Stadium, the spring training home of the Royals and Rangers.  OSU won a school record 58 games last season and advanced to the College World Series in Omaha
