On the Prep diamond…Summit’s lead is still 4-games better than Bend for the IMC Championship as the Storm crushed Mt. View yesterday, 15-to-2.

The Lava Bears smashed Redmond, 12-3. Same teams today with Summit and Bend both on their home diamonds at 4:30.

2nd ranked LaPine won its 6th straight game and sit atop the 3A Mountain Valley Conference after yesterday’s 12-9 win at Glide. La Pine is 7-and-0 in league, and 14-and-1 overall and will host Creswell tomorrow afternoon.

In the 4A ranks…Sisters shutout Sutherlin on the road 2-zip last night and Crook County also grabbed a road win beating Molalla, 9-5. Today, the Cowboys host Madras in a key Tri-Valley battle in Prineville beginning at 4:30.  And, LaPine, ranked second in the 3-A division with its 14-and-1 record entertains Creswell today also at 4:30.

  • ORE 22 remains CLOSED between Idanha and the junction with U.S. 20 (milepost 53-81) following a tanker truck crash that caused a fuel spill yesterday. The road will be closed to thru traffic indefinitely for the clean up of the fuel spill and recovery of the tanker.
