(Seattle, WA)  --  Edwin Nunez gave up a solo homer to Mark Canha in the ninth as the Mariners lost 3-2 to the A's at Safeco Field.  Juan Nicasio gave up a game-tying, two-run shot to Jed Lowrie in the eighth.  Starter James Paxton struck out a major league high 16 this season in seven shutout innings in a no-decision.  The M's had won three in-a-row and six of their previous seven.
