Outdoors with prep baseball, the 3rd ranked La Pine Hawks host Glide today in their final home game off the regular season before the playoffs begin looking to keep a 1-game lead over Pleasant Hill for the Mountain Valley League lead.

La Pine is 15-and-2 overall and lost only its second game of the year, and its first league defeat falling at Pleasant Hill in a 10-9 decision. First pitch today in La Pine is at 430.

In the 5-A IMC, Bend thumped Mt. View again yesterday as the Lava Bears cruised past the Cougars, 16-to-3. In back-to-back games this week, Bend has outscored Mt. View, 39-to-3, and find themselves virtually tied with Summit for the Conference lead. The Bears and Cougs meet again tomorrow at Bend.

And, Redmond got even with Ridgeview with the Panthers shutting out the Ravens, 1-zip yesterday. Final game of the 3-game weekly series is tomorrow at 4330 on the Ravens diamond.
