(Detroit, MI)  --  Kyle Seager homered in a losing effort as the Mariners were clipped by the Tigers 5-4 in Detroit. Seattle suffered more than a loss with second baseman Robinson Cano leaving in the third inning with a right hand fracture after being hit by a Blaine Hardy pitch.  James Paxton, who no-hit Toronto in his previous M's start, yielded six hits and three runs over six innings and Juan Nicasio took the loss.
