On the prep diamond…the IMC wraps up regular season play today when Mt. View hosts Bend, and Ridgeview entertains crosstown rival, Redmond.

The Lava Bears have already clinched the League crown rated 8th in the State, and are the #1 seed for the Playoffs. Summit is the 2-seed and will have a home date in the Play-In round, and Ridgeview will be the third seed on the road.

The Play-In round is set in the 4A division and coming up Thursday, Sisters will hosts Newport, Madras greets Mazama, and Crook County travels to Ontario. The winners advance next week to the OSAA State championship playoff bracket.

La Pine has already clinched the 3A Mountain Valley League pennant, and will await a playoff game Friday. The Hawks will play a non-league warmup game at Madras tomorrow. La Pine split a non-league twinbill Friday at Sisters.

Meantime…on the Girl’s side of things with Softball, Ridgeview, Mt. View, and Bend are the top-3 seeds from the IMC headed to the Playoffs. Crook County, Madras, and La Pine are the only other local teams headed to the post season this week.
