The Summit girl’s track team with head coach Dave Turnbull won it’s record 12th consecutive OSAA 5A State Championship Saturday in Eugene at Hayward Field.  Turnbull has now won the third most State Titles as any coach in Oregon history.

The Bend girls finished second, and Mt. View made the team podium with a 4th place finish. Summit’s boys finished third overall, and Crook County is the State Runnerup in the 4A division.

And, the Summit boy’s claimed their 5th straight Team Tennis Title over the weekend in Portland led by senior Logan Hausler’s Individual championship beating the top seed from Ashland, Rox Rogers in three sets, 6-2, 1-6, and 6-3. Corvallis won the Girl’s Title with Summit finishing runnerup.

  • ORE 22 remains CLOSED between Idanha and the junction with U.S. 20 (milepost 53-81) following a tanker truck crash that caused a fuel spill yesterday. The road will be closed to thru traffic indefinitely for the clean up of the fuel spill and recovery of the tanker.
