(Portland, OR) -- The Timbers are protesting their 3-2 loss to LAFC in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup quarterfinals. Portland claims that LA broke the U.S. Open Cup rules by playing with six foreign players. According to the rules, no professional team is allowed to field more than five foreign players. U.S. soccer has decided to postpone the draw in an effort to review the allegation.
