Bend Elks Baseball

The losing skid continues for the Bend Elks, and the harder they try to get a win, the worse it seems to be. Last night the Portland Pickles blanked Bend, 3-to-nothing, scoring their second-straight shutout win and handing the Elks their 12th straight loss.

Bend’s last win was at home back on Friday the 13th, and maybe it was that superstition that cast this losing spell on the team. None the less, Bend continues the homestand tonight and will close out the 4-game series with Portland before welcoming the Wenatchee Applesox tomorrow and Sunday night.

The good news is, the the Westcoast League has awarded the Elks to host the 2019 League All-Star game at Vince Genna Stadium. In 12 years of having the summer showcase in the WCL, it will be the first time Bend has hosted the event.
