(Seattle, WA) -- Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano has began his rehab assignment with the Tacoma Rainiers. The eight-time All-Star had a hit and a walk in his Triple-A debut as they knocked off the Colorado Springs Sky Sox 3-2 at Cheney Stadium. Cano is currently serving an 80-game suspension for violating the MLB joint drug agreement. The career second baseman is expected to play first, second and third base with the Rainiers during the rehab process.
