(Portland, OR)  --  The Timbers had their 15-match unbeaten streak snapped as they fell to the Vancouver Whitecaps 2-1 at Providence Park.  Diego Valeri scored the lone goal for Portland, which hasn't suffered a loss in MLS play since April.  The Timbers return to the field on Wednesday to face DC United.
