(Oakland, CA)  --  Felix Hernandez gave up two runs as the Mariners suffered a 3-2 loss to the Athletics in Oakland.  Nelson Cruz plated a run for Seattle and Cameron Maybin homered in the losing effort.  M's starting pitcher James Paxton gave up one run before leaving early due to injury.
