It’s the first full week of school in session again, and week-2 of Fall prep sports where on the Volleyball hardwood last night the 2-time defending 5A Champion, now turned Class 6A, and ranked #1 Bend Lava Bears defeated McNary 3-1.

In the first cross-town clash, Summit downed Mt. View by the same 3-1 score. Bend and Summit off to 2-and-0 starts in the newly classified ‘Mountain Valley Conference.’

Meantime, the defending 4A champs, the Sisters Outlaws blanked Newport on the road, 3-zip. And, in non-league 3A play, Burns shutout La Pine, 3-games to none.

Outdoors on the Girl’s soccer field, Madras snuck past Mt. View, 1-nil. Crook County throttled Dallas, 9-to-nothing, and Newport edged Sisters, 1-zip.
