OSU Running Back On Shelf With Elbow Injury

(Corvallis, OR)  --  Oregon State starting running back Artavis Pierce is out for likely four weeks with an elbow injury.  True freshman Jermar Jefferson is expected to start on Saturday at Nevada.  He rushed for 238 yards and four touchdowns last weekend against Southern Utah.  The Beavers have not announced whether Conor Blount or Jake Luton will start at quarterback.  OSU will attempt to snap a 20-game road losing streak.
