(Seattle, WA)  --  Roenis Elias tossed five innings of scoreless ball to lead the Mariners past the Rangers 3-1 at Safeco Field.  Seattle improved its win total from a season ago by 11 games with a record of 89-and-73.  The M's will miss the playoffs for the 17th year in-a-row, which is the longest drought in U.S. professional sports.
