(Peoria, AZ)  --  The Mariners have released infielder Dustin Ackley from his minor league contract.  Ackley had signed the deal with the Mariners back in January after spending 2018 with the Angels' Triple A Affiliate in Salt Lake City.  Ackley was once the number-two overall pick for the Mariners back in 2009 but he failed to produce after early success in his debut season in 2011.
