(Kansas City, MO)  --  Jay Bruce was held out of the Mariners 7-6 win over the Royals with a sore left Achilles tendon.  He left the Wednesday game in the fourth when he said the heel was bothering him again.  The 32-year-old outfielder leads the team with seven homers.
