(Renton, WA)  --  The Seahawks have officially signed former New York Jets starter Geno Smith, adding competition for the backup quarterback position.  The 28-year-old spent his first two years in the NFL as the Jets starting quarterback and has 25 career touchdown passes and 34 interceptions.  Smith gives Seattle three quarterbacks on the 90-man roster along with Russell Wilson and Paxton Lynch.
